Problems sending email

If you are experiencing connection problems when sending emails please try the following steps:

Check authentication settings
To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Click File select Accounts.
  3. Select your email account.
  4. Click the More Settings button under the Outgoing Server tab:
    • The My outgoing server (SMPT) requires authentication checkbox should be CHECKED
    • The Use same settings as my incoming mail server should be SELECTED
    • click OK.
When done close the Accounts window. Open your Outbox folder and delete all messages then try sending a test email to yourself or other. 

If the issue continues to occur, change your SMTP port:
