Changing your SMTP port
To do this follow these steps:
- Start Outlook.
- Click File then select Accounts.
- Select your account.
- Click the More Settings button box then click the Advanced tab
- In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) box, type 587.
- Ensure "Use the following type of encrypted connection" is set to AUTO
- You
may get a warning about an invalid certificate - this is because the
certificate is in Red Paint's name not your companies name - you can
safely accept the certificate on your computer.
- Close Accounts window.
- Open your Outbox folder and delete all messages then try sending a test email to yourself or other.
