Changing your SMTP port

To do this follow these steps:
  1. Start Outlook.
  2. Click File then select Accounts.
  3. Select your account.
  4. Click the More Settings button box then click the Advanced tab
  5. In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) box, type 587.
  6. Ensure "Use the following type of encrypted connection" is set to AUTO
  7. You may get a warning about an invalid certificate - this is because the certificate is in Red Paint's name not your companies name - you can safely accept the certificate on your computer.
  8. Close Accounts window.
  9. Open your Outbox folder and delete all messages then try sending a test email to yourself or other.
